Backend Engineer

About the Role
Develop and maintain backend services with a focus on payment processing, gateway integrations, and transactional systems. Collaborate with business and product teams to implement secure, scalable, and reliable payment solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
•    3–5 years of backend development experience
•    Strong proficiency in .NET, Python, or Node.js
•    Hands-on experience integrating payment gateways such as HyperPay, Moyasar, Stripe, Adyen, Checkout, PayTabs, or similar platforms
•    Understanding of payment workflows, transaction lifecycle, reconciliation, and settlement processes
•    Knowledge of PCI-DSS, security best practices, and fraud prevention mechanisms
•    Experience developing REST APIs and microservices
•    Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases
•    Experience with cloud platforms and containerized deployments
•    Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
•    Good understanding of scalability, performance, and high-availability systems
