Description:

Basic Requirement:
·       Hold higher / advanced level nationally recognized and current qualifications in EHS standards.
·       5 years health, safety and environmental experience in a similar role
·       Evidence of applying professional advice, guidance, practical assistance and support to executives.
·       Track record in compiling standards and operating procedures
·       Fluent in English.
Job Description:
·       Provide professional EHS help, advice and support to the organization in order to comply with relevant statutory laws and effectively implement the Company EHS management system and supporting best practices.
·       Provide support for effectively assessing and controlling risk in the site, including the provision of ongoing information and advice on appropriate solutions.
·       Promote and support the continuous development of a positive EHS culture.
·       Perform EHS site visits and inspections
·       Promote the reporting of EHS incidents including unsafe conditions and follow up on having the required actions fixed
·       Participate in programs designed to influence and change behavior at work such as “Safe-Start” and “Safety Observations” in order to improve the overall safety culture of the business.
·       Assist in the solution of audit items contained in both, internal and external, self-audit reports to ensure effective action is taken to resolve these issues and concerns.
·       Carry out detailed investigations of incidents in the workplace and prepare appropriate reports including determining the root cause or causes of the incident.
·       Liaise with enforcing authorities when issues are raised and deal with any follow up investigation or enforcement action to reduce or mitigate risk to the company issues.
·       Considerable knowledge on a wide range of technical EHS subjects.
·       Develop, promote and support the establishment and maintenance of a comprehensive and effective EHS management system by contributing to the development of the system.
·       Monitor and measure compliance with legal standards and establish effective follow up procedures to ensure any weaknesses are quickly and reliably addressed.
