Description:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing contracts within the procurement department. by managing the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and negotiation to execution and compliance.
Job Accountabilities:
- Manage the procurement operations, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, and contract award processes.
- Ensure compliance with GACA (General Authority of Civil Aviation) regulations and international procurement standards.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, demand aggregation, and process improvements.
- Maintain strong relationships with key vendors across cargo operations, logistics, IT, and support services.
- Manage vendor onboarding, qualification, and risk assessment processes.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts and procurement processes.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contracts, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to support supplier selection and negotiation.
- Ensure RFQs, RFPs, and tendering processes in alignment with procurement policies. Negotiate contracts ensuring favorable terms, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure adherence to regulations, internal procurement policies, and ethical sourcing standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration or equivalent.
- A minimum of 6 - 8 years of experience in the same or similar field.
