Mechanical Team Leader

Description:

BEC is seeking a qualified and driven Procurement – Mechanical Team Leader to lead the mechanical procurement function and support the successful execution of key construction projects.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the mechanical procurement team to achieve departmental targets and project requirements.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Supervise the review of technical specifications, bid evaluations, and supplier selections.
- Negotiate high-value contracts and framework agreements with key vendors.
- Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate procurement activities with project managers, engineering, and finance departments to ensure seamless execution.
- Resolve escalated supplier or delivery issues to maintain project continuity.

✅ Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in mechanical procurement, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing procurement teams and delivering results in a construction or contracting environment.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills.
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.
