System Engineer

Description:

DATASERVE is looking for a System Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in system administration, enterprise application support, and technical operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for system administration, application support, monitoring, troubleshooting, deployments, integrations, and performance management while working closely with infrastructure, database, security, and application teams.
IBM FileNet experience is highly preferred but not mandatory. Candidates with strong System Engineering or Application Support experience and the ability to learn FileNet will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and support enterprise systems and applications.
- Support and troubleshoot application servers and enterprise applications.
- Perform application deployments, configurations, patches, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot application, system, integration, and connectivity issues.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and application logs.
- Support Windows/Linux, Active Directory, LDAP, networking, and authentication.
- Perform basic SQL and database troubleshooting.
- Support REST APIs and enterprise application integrations.
- Participate in Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.
- Perform root-cause analysis and resolve recurring technical issues.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams, vendors, and technical support teams.
- Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Develop technical expertise in IBM FileNet P8.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience as a System Engineer, Application Support Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.
- Experience with application servers such as IBM WebSphere, WebSphere Liberty, WebLogic, JBoss/WildFly, or Tomcat.
- Good understanding of JVM, application deployments, datasources, connection pools, and application logs.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, networking, and authentication.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of REST APIs and system integrations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong willingness and ability to learn new technologies.
- FileNet – Preferred
- Experience with IBM FileNet P8, FileNet Content Manager, and IBM Content Navigator (ICN) is highly preferred.
