Database Engineer

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Database Engineer with over 8 years of expertise in designing, optimizing, and managing both relational and non-relational databases. This is a contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance database systems.
Optimize and tune database queries, stored procedures, indexes, and overall performance.
Ensure database uptime, reliability, and disaster recovery through robust backup strategies.
Create and manage schemas, tables, and views for business-critical applications.
Proactively monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues to reduce downtime.
Maintain data integrity, consistency, and security across all environments.

Requirements:
8+ years of hands-on experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Deep knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and best practices.
Experience with cloud-based databases like AWS RDS and Azure SQL.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
