Field Technician

Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Field Support Engineer to provide on-site technical support for clients in the Riyadh region. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires travel within Riyadh and the ability to handle diverse technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:
On-Site Technical Support:
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues, including routers, switches, servers, and networking equipment.
Perform hardware diagnostics, repairs, and replacements.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and updates.
Conduct routine maintenance (e.g., system updates, backups, security checks).

Client Interaction:
Respond promptly to service requests, ensuring minimal disruption.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand and resolve technical issues.
Provide training and guidance on IT equipment and software.

Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of service requests, incidents, and resolutions.
Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
Provide regular reports on support activities and client feedback.

Collaboration:
Escalate complex issues to the remote support team.
Coordinate with vendors for equipment procurement and repairs.
Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
3-5 years of experience in IT field support or on-site technical support.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, MCITP) are a plus.

Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment).
Proficiency in Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

Experience with network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting.
