Junior Networking Engineer

Description:

A leading heavy equipment and machinery company in Saudi Arabia is looking for a Junior Networking Engineer to join our back-office engineering team. This role involves supporting network design, technical documentation, hardware selection, and coordination with engineering and procurement teams to ensure reliable and scalable network infrastructure.
🔧 Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing network designs and low-level diagrams (LAN, WAN, WLAN, Data Center, Security).
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (LLD, BOM, VLAN plans, IP schemes).
• Support hardware selection including switches, firewalls, access points, and related accessories.
• Compare vendors and recommend suitable technical solutions.
• Provide technical support to procurement teams (part numbers, compatibility, equivalency).
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards.
✅ Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 1–3 years of networking experience (hands-on or design support).
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing basics, and network security concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret network diagrams.
• Good documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
⭐ Preferred:
• Familiarity with Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, Juniper, or similar vendors.
• Basic knowledge of wireless networks and redundancy concepts.
