Description:
We are seeking a skilled Level 2 Network Automation Engineer to support the implementation, integration, and operation of network automation solutions within Cisco datacenter and network infrastructure. The role requires general technical proficiency in network automation technologies, proactive operational support, and effective collaboration across multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement, configure, and support network automation and orchestration tools, with a primary focus on Cisco solutions such as NSO, ThousandEyes, MANO, EPNM, CNC, SPIS, and AppDynamics.
Provide operational support, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance for network automation platforms.
Develop and enhance automation workflows, scripts, and APIs to streamline network operations.
Provide Level 2 technical support, diagnose complex technical issues, and coordinate with vendors for escalated issue resolution.
Monitor network performance and availability, analyze operational data, and proactively address potential issues.
Support integration initiatives with existing infrastructure, ensuring seamless interoperability with Customer’s operational and business processes.
Maintain accurate documentation related to automation systems, workflows, and processes.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of professional experience in network engineering, operations, or automation.
General experience with automation and orchestration platforms, ideally with exposure to one or more Cisco solutions such as NSO, ThousandEyes, MANO, EPNM, CNC, SPIS, or AppDynamics.
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, MPLS, SDN, NFV).
Familiarity with scripting and automation languages/tools (Python, Ansible, RESTful APIs, YAML, XML).
Experience with Linux-based systems, virtualization technologies (VMware, OpenStack), and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate in a cross-functional team environment.
