Senior Backend Engineer

A fast-growing digital banking platform in Riyadh is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to build mission-critical services powering millions of secure financial transactions. You’ll design high-performance APIs, optimize backend systems, and collaborate with product and DevOps teams to scale next-generation fintech solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Architect, develop, and optimize backend services and APIs
• Build scalable, secure microservices using modern backend frameworks
• Integrate third-party systems, payment gateways, and core banking tools
• Improve system reliability, latency, and performance
• Work closely with DevOps to support CI/CD and cloud deployments
• Participate in code reviews and enforce engineering best practices

What You’ll Bring

• 4–7+ years backend engineering experience
• Strong proficiency with Node.js, Python, Java, or Go
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• Experience in fintech is a plus, but not required
