Sr. Network Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco routing protocols, Layer 2 switching technologies, and a strong background in Cisco security products (ESA, WSA, ISE, FTD). This role is critical for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures, ensuring optimal performance, high availability, and robust security across our enterprise. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader, capable of resolving complex network issues, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to strategic network initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:
• Expert-level proficiency in Cisco routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and IS-IS, including design, implementation, and advanced troubleshooting.
• Expert-level proficiency in Cisco switching technologies: Catalyst and Nexus platforms, with in-depth knowledge of Layer 2 protocols (STP, VLANs, EtherChannel, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP).
• Hands-on expert experience with Cisco Security Products:
o Cisco Email Security Appliance (ESA)
o Cisco Web Security Appliance (WSA)
o Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
o Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) and Firepower Management Center (FMC)
• Strong understanding of network security principles, best practices, and common attack vectors.
• Experience with network monitoring, logging, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Splunk).
