Construction Director

Description:

The successful candidate will provide senior leadership across project construction, engineering coordination, contractors, commissioning, technical interfaces and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead construction delivery across utility-scale BESS projects
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within approved budgets
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
• Direct Owner’s Engineer and contractor teams
• Manage technical and contractual interfaces
• Coordinate with offtakers, grid operators, regulators and major suppliers
• Monitor construction performance, quality, HSE and project milestones
• Lead project handover and performance-testing activities
• Provide executive-level reporting on project delivery

Ideal Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 10–15+ years of project/construction experience
• Minimum 5 years within energy construction or major power projects
• Experience with utility-scale renewable energy or BESS projects
• Strong contractor and stakeholder-management capability
• Middle East experience is highly advantageous
