Cost Engineer

Job Responsibilities
• Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets and cost estimates.
• Track actual project costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances.
• Prepare periodic cost reports, forecasts, and cash-flow projections.
• Monitor commitments, purchase orders, subcontractor costs, and project expenditures.
• Support the preparation of project cost estimates, budgets, and cost baselines.
• Analyze cost performance and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Project Management, Procurement, Finance, and other relevant departments.
• Review variations and change orders and assess their impact on project costs.
• Support monthly project reporting and management reviews.
• Maintain accurate cost-control records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in cost engineering, cost control, or a related project environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Experience in construction, contracting, industrial, or project-based environments is preferred.
Working Hours: 8 hours per day
