Smart City Application Architect

Description:

We are seeking a Smart City Application Architect to lead the design and development of digital applications enabling smart city services for or client. The ideal candidate will have expertise in architecting enterprise and citizen-facing applications across mobility, utilities, public safety, and urban innovation domains.
Key Responsibilities:
Design scalable, interoperable application architectures for smart city services.
Define architectural standards and ensure seamless integration with IoT, APIs, and cloud platforms.
Modernize legacy applications using microservices, containerization, and DevOps.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver citizen-centric digital solutions.
Ensure compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and accessibility standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
8+ years in software development, 3+ years in smart city/public sector applications.
Expertise in microservices, RESTful APIs, Docker/Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures.
Knowledge of smart city standards (OASC, FIWARE, ISO 37120).
Strong communication skills; bilingual (Arabic/English) preferred.
Preferred Competencies:
TOGAF/AWS/Azure certifications.
Experience in digital twins, smart mobility, or e-government platforms.
