Z/os Administrator

Description:

We’re looking for a skilled z/OS Administrator to manage and optimize our mainframe environment. If you live and breathe z/Architecture, GDPS, and SMP/E, let’s talk.

*What you’ll do:*
- Own GDPS/Sysplex setup, maintenance, and DR drills to ensure high availability
- Manage SMP/E installs, maintenance, UserMods, and system upgrades
- Drive POR procedures and automation for z/OS, JES2, TSO/ISPF environments
- Lead mainframe migration, version upgrades, and hardware refresh projects
- Deliver value-added services: MIPS optimization, software rationalization, Specialty Engine exploitation
- Work with DFSMS, VTAM, HMC, HCD, and IBM/ISV utilities/tools

*Must-have skills:*
- Hands-on experience with z/Architecture and GDPS/Sysplex
- Deep expertise in SMP/E and POR automation
- Strong knowledge of mainframe hardware, peripherals, z/OS, JES2, TSO/ISPF
- Proven disaster recovery setup and execution experience
- Background in DFSMS, VTAM, HMC, HCD, UserMods

*Nice-to-have:*
- Assembler knowledge
- Hardware push/pull experience
