Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and interpret civil engineering regulations and standards (e.g., building codes, zoning laws, environmental regulations) to ensure projects comply with all requirements.
• Develop and implement compliance strategies, policies, and procedures for civil engineering projects.
• Collaborate with project teams, including architects, contractors, and environmental engineers, to ensure regulatory compliance is integrated into project planning and execution.
• Conduct site inspections and audits to verify that construction projects comply with safety standards, environmental laws, and other relevant regulations.
• Prepare and submit required regulatory documentation, permits, and approvals to authorities.
• Review design plans, specifications, and project documentation to ensure they meet legal and environmental compliance standards.
• Identify risks related to non-compliance and develop solutions to mitigate potential legal and financial impacts.
• Advise and guide project teams on regulatory matters and provide recommendations for improving compliance practices.
• Maintain records and prepare regular compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, government agencies, and other authorities to ensure projects meet the necessary regulatory criteria.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on compliance, regulations, and environmental standards.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering codes, construction standards, environmental regulations, and safety requirements.
• Experience in regulatory reporting, permit application processes, and compliance audits.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to assess and mitigate compliance risks.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring compliance at every stage of development.
• Proficiency in using compliance management software and project management tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in compliance (e.g., CCEP) or in civil engineering (e.g., PE - Professional Engineer).
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
• Knowledge of international civil engineering standards and regulations.
