Job Summary:

As an MEP Estimator (Costing Engineer) you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems for a variety of construction projects, analyzing project plans, specifications to determine the scope of work and develop detailed cost breakdowns.

Location: Riyadh, KSA.

Responsibilities:

1- Analyze project plans, specifications, drawings, and other contract documents to fully understand the project's MEP requirements.
2- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for all MEP materials, equipment, and labor.
3- Develop accurate cost estimates for complete MEP systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical power distribution, lighting, low voltage systems, etc.
4- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including material costs, labor costs, equipment costs, subcontractor costs, and other direct and indirect expenses.
5- Develop and maintain a cost database for MEP materials, labor rates, and equipment.
6- Prepare bid summaries and cost comparison reports.
7- Identify potential risks and opportunities that may affect project costs.
8- Develop value engineering proposals to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
9- Prepare and present cost estimates to the project team and management.
10- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and bid proposals.
11- Respond to technical and commercial queries related to MEP costs
during the tender process.
12- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information.
13- Assist project managers with budget control and cost forecasting during the project execution phase.
14- Work closely with project managers, to ensure accurate cost estimates.

Qualifications:

1- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2- 5 years of experience in MEP cost estimation.
3- Proven experience in estimating a wide range of MEP systems for various types of projects (e.g., commercial, industrial, infrastructure)
4- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
