Responsibilities:

• Safety Inspections:

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

• Risk Assessment:

• Assess workplace risks and implement measures to mitigate hazards.
• Develop and update risk assessment reports for various work processes.

• Emergency Preparedness:

• Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
• Conduct drills and training sessions to ensure employees are prepared for emergencies.

• Incident Investigation:

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes.
• Develop corrective action plans to prevent the recurrence of incidents.

• Safety Training:

• Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees.
• Ensure that all staff members are knowledgeable about safety protocols.

• Hazard Communication:

• Maintain and communicate safety data sheets (SDS) for hazardous materials.
• Implement clear labeling and communication of potential hazards.

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

• Ensure proper selection, use, and maintenance of personal protective equipment.
• Monitor compliance with PPE requirements.

• Safety Meetings:

• Conduct regular safety meetings to discuss relevant safety topics and address concerns.
• Encourage employee participation in safety initiatives.

• Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay updated on health and safety regulations and ensure organizational compliance.
• Interact with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.

• Health and Wellness Programs:

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to implement health and wellness initiatives.

• Environmental Health:

• Implement measures to minimize environmental impact.

• Record Keeping:

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Professional certification in health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
• Proven experience in occupational health and safety roles.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
