Patch Management Admin

Description:

Key Responsibilities:
o Execute and manage the organization's endpoint patch management strategy.
o Deploy security patches and software updates to endpoint devices using ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus or other patching tools.
o Regularly monitor and assess system vulnerabilities, ensuring timely patching across desktops, laptops, and other endpoint devices.
o Enforce patching policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance security posture.
o Troubleshoot patch deployment failures on endpoints and provide remediation solutions.
o Conduct risk assessments for missing patches and evaluate the impact of patch deployment on endpoints.
o Schedule patch rollouts to minimize downtime and operational disruption.
o Work closely with IT security, infrastructure, and application teams to coordinate endpoint patching activities.
o Generate reports on endpoint patch compliance, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts for internal audits and regulatory compliance.
o Stay up to date with industry best practices, emerging threats, and new endpoint patching technologies.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
o Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science.
o 5+ years of experience in patch management & endpoint security.
o Hands-on experience with ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus or similar patch management tools and has an expertise to handle any patching tools.
o Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS endpoint patching.
o Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
o Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation of endpoint patching processes is a plus.
o Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Certifications:
o ITIL Foundation Certification
o Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
o ManageEngine Certified Specialist (if available)
