Windows Server Administration

 

Description:

Windows Server Administration:
o Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022).
o Perform server patching and updates, ensuring systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
o Monitor and maintain server health, performance, and availability.
o Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Active Directory (AD) Management:
o Administer and maintain Active Directory (AD), including user/group management, domain controllers, and Organizational Units (OUs).
o Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures for AD and associated services.
o Implement and enforce AD security policies, including password policies, account lockout policies, and group memberships.
o Assist in Active Directory migrations and integrations with other systems.
Power BI & Reporting:
o Support Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualization for internal teams.
o Assist in integrating data sources into Power BI for analysis and reporting.
o Collaborate with other team members to develop and maintain reporting solutions.
o Use Power BI to create ad-hoc reports based on business requirements.
Collaboration & Documentation:
o Provide technical support for internal teams and end-users regarding Windows Server and AD issues.
o Collaborate with other IT teams on system integrations and troubleshooting.
Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience:
o 5+ years of experience in Windows Server administration and support.
o Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
o Basic knowledge of Power BI for report creation and data visualization.
o Experience with server backups, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Windows Server OS (2012/2016/2019/2022).
o Strong understanding of Active Directory management.
o Basic knowledge of Power BI, including data importing and report creation.
o Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell preferred).
o Strong understanding of network services such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
Certifications (Preferred but not required):
o Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
o Microsoft Certified: Power BI Certification (DA-100 or equivalent).
