Responsibilities:
API Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire API lifecycle, including planning, design, development oversight, testing, deployment, documentation, monitoring, and retirement of APIs using the WSO2 API Manager.
WSO2 Platform Expertise: Leverage your deep understanding of the WSO2 API Manager platform to configure, customize, and optimize API gateways, developer portals, and analytics dashboards.
API Design and Standards: Collaborate with development teams to define and enforce API design standards, best practices, and governance policies to ensure consistency and usability.
Security Implementation: Implement and maintain robust API security measures, including authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and threat protection, utilizing WSO2 security features and industry best practices.
Developer Experience: Enhance the developer experience by creating comprehensive and accurate API documentation, providing support, and fostering a vibrant developer community through the WSO2 Developer Portal.
API Monitoring and Analytics: Implement and utilize monitoring and analytics tools within WSO2 to track API performance, identify issues, and generate reports to drive continuous improvement.
Integration and Connectivity: Facilitate the integration of APIs with various backend systems, applications, and data sources, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
API Governance and Policy Enforcement: Establish and enforce API governance policies, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, security, architecture, and business stakeholders, to understand their API needs and provide effective solutions.
Platform Maintenance and Upgrades: Manage the WSO2 API Manager platform, including upgrades, patching, and performance tuning, ensuring its stability and availability.
