Data Governance Manager.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Ensure understanding of the strategic objective for the Bank and support in achieving the department's strategy and related strategic plans.
Core Responsibility:
Develop and implement a data governance framework that aligns with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
Create, maintain, and enforce data governance and privacy policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
Establish processes for data quality assessment, management, and reporting to ensure accuracy and reliability of data across the organization.
Contribute in ensuring compliance with data privacy laws and regulations, conducting regular assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Legal, Compliance, etc.) to support data governance initiatives and foster a culture of data accountability.
Ensure data breach incidents, ensuring timely reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure data access rights and controls to safeguard sensitive information and ensure appropriate usage.
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data governance and privacy initiatives and report on progress to senior management.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data governance and privacy, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
