Description:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the organization. The role ensures cost-effectiveness, quality standards, and timely delivery while maintaining strong supplier relationships and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to forecast needs
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and resolve any supply issues
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and pricing
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Collaborate with finance for invoice verification and payment processes
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field
- Proven experience in procurement or purchasing
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software/ERP systems
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and vendor management
